Marks &
Clerk Canada
Marks & Clerk Canada has a proud ancestry that dates back to 1887,
when George Croydon Marks founded the original patent and trade mark firm in England. One
year later, he was joined by Dugald Clerk, a respected engineer who pioneered development
of gas engines. Together, they expanded the company that bears their names. Now, Marks
& Clerk is the largest patent and trade mark firm in the U.K., and one of the largest
in Europe. The Ottawa office was opened in 1921, strategically located in Canada's
capital, seat of government and site of the Canadian Intellectual Property Office.
Marks & Clerk Canada provides a complete range of services and
advice relating to patents, trade marks, industrial designs, licensing, infringement and
validity. More specifically, Marks & Clerk prepares and files applications for
patents, trade marks, copyright and industrial design registrations, and handles all
aspects of the prosecution of these applications - in Canada or anywhere else on the
globe. The firm provides advice on infringement and validity, and in litigation, can call
upon legal professionals with longstanding expertise in these fields. |
