Diversity Visa 2004 (DV-2004) is an official program of the U.S. Government under which citizens of most countries can become permanent residents of the United States of America.

Each year, the Diversity Visa (DV) program makes 55,000 immigrant visas available through a lottery to people who come from countries with low rates of immigration to the United States. If you receive a visa and a green card through the Diversity Visa program, you will be authorized to live and work permanently in the United States. You will also be allowed to bring your spouse and any unmarried children under the age of 21 to the United States. Green card holders may later apply for U.S. citizenship and passport.
